Terms of service

The rules that apply when you install and use TrackQr.

1. Agreement

TrackQr is a Shopify app operated by Nexa Labs, Cotonou, Benin ("we", "us"). By installing or using TrackQr on your Shopify store, you ("the merchant") agree to these terms and to our privacy policy. If you use TrackQr on behalf of a company, you confirm you can bind it to these terms. Your use of Shopify itself remains governed by Shopify's own terms.

2. The service

TrackQr lets you create dynamic QR codes, design them, publish campaign pages, measure scans and, depending on your plan, attribute Shopify orders to QR codes. A Shopify store is required. Features available on each plan are listed on our pricing page and in the app.

3. Plans and billing

  • Every store starts on the Free plan, which has no time limit.
  • Paid plans (Starter and Growth) are billed monthly or yearly through Shopify's billing system and appear on your Shopify invoice. Shopify adds applicable taxes.
  • You can upgrade, downgrade or cancel at any time from the app. Shopify applies changes immediately and handles prorations and refunds according to its billing rules.
  • We may change prices or plan contents. Price increases for an active subscription require your approval through Shopify before they apply.

4. Limits and paused items

Each plan has limits (number of QR codes, campaign pages, analytics history). When your account exceeds a limit — for example after a downgrade — the most recent items beyond the limit are paused automatically. Nothing is deleted: paused items come back when they fit in your plan again. Scans of paused, scheduled or expired codes are sent to your store or to the fallback page you chose.

5. Your responsibilities

  • You are responsible for the destinations, offers and content you publish with TrackQr, and for their accuracy.
  • You must have a lawful basis for the data you collect on campaign pages, including consent to marketing emails where the law requires it, and you must answer your customers' privacy requests (Shopify forwards them to us when needed).
  • If you add third-party tags (such as Google Analytics or Meta Pixel) to campaign pages, you are responsible for any consent they require.
  • You keep your Shopify account secure and are responsible for activity under it.

6. Acceptable use

You must not use TrackQr to:

  • send people to phishing, malware, scams or other deceptive or illegal content;
  • infringe the intellectual property or privacy rights of others;
  • send unsolicited marketing to people who did not consent where consent is required;
  • attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer or gain unauthorised access to the service.

We may pause codes or pages that break these rules, and suspend accounts that repeatedly do so.

7. Your data and content

You own your content and your data. You give us the permission needed to host, process and display it in order to provide TrackQr. We process personal data as described in our privacy policy.

8. Third-party services

TrackQr relies on Shopify and integrates with Shopify Flow, Google Analytics and Meta Pixel at your request. These services are governed by their own terms; we are not responsible for them.

9. Availability and changes

We work to keep TrackQr available and to make printed codes keep working, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted service. We may improve, change or remove features; we will tell you in advance about changes that significantly reduce what your plan includes.

10. Uninstalling and termination

You can uninstall TrackQr at any time. Shopify then cancels your subscription, and your store's data is deleted 48 hours later. From then on, your printed codes no longer redirect. If you only want to stop paying, switch to the Free plan instead. We may terminate access for serious or repeated breaches of these terms.

11. Disclaimers

TrackQr is provided "as is". Analytics and attribution are estimates based on the data available to us (see how attribution works on our sales attribution page) and may not capture every scan or order. To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties.

12. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits or lost data, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for TrackQr in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top of this page and, for significant changes, let you know in the app or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use TrackQr after that means you accept them.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws applicable at Nexa Labs' place of establishment, without depriving you of the protection of mandatory provisions of the law of your country.
