Frequently asked questions
Is the TrackQr QR code generator free?
Yes. The Free plan includes 3 dynamic QR codes with every QR type, a campaign page and a scan counter, with no time limit. Paid plans start at $9/month for 25 codes, your own design and detailed analytics.
What is the difference between a static and a dynamic QR code?
A static code stores the final URL in its pattern: it can't be edited or measured. A dynamic code stores a short link that redirects, so you can change the destination and count scans. Every TrackQr code is dynamic.
Do TrackQr codes expire?
No, unless you set an end date yourself. Codes keep working as long as TrackQr is installed on your store. If you uninstall the app, your data is deleted after 48 hours, as Shopify requires, and the codes stop redirecting.
What size should I print my QR code?
At least 2 × 2 cm (0.8 × 0.8 in) for something held in the hand, and larger as the scanning distance grows: a common rule is a code about one tenth of the distance. Keep a white margin around it and strong contrast.
